Sue Ludlum

My early training was in commercial and fine art photography.

However, never satisfied and always curious, I went a step
further and explored alternative methods of creating images
with film, images that possess a painterly, ethereal quality
that straddle the boundaries between contemporary
photography and traditional art. Working with alternative
photographic methods such as image and emulsion

transfer-often referred to as a "crossover" art form-allows me

to push boundaries, play, experiment, and realize, ultimately, that the pursuit   of and exploration in art will always be a work in progress. And, like a life worth living, the greatest hope I have while struggling with the process of personal artistic expression is to arrive at a place in my life where this struggle is rewarded with the complete feeding of my soul by tapping into its deepest reservoirs.
